1890s ornate typography

This trend has be increasingly popular recently, for anything from packaging to menus in a restaurant. This type is recognised my it’s highly detailed text, exaggerated flourishes. It can often be seen in spirit or beer branding. It is a cst contrast to the popular trend of minimalism.

Paper-cut

This is something I have seen a lot of on Instagram and Pinterest. It uses shadows and rendering on digits; software to create a look of cut paper. I really love this trend as I think it definitely grabs attention and it can tell you a lot in a very simplistic way.

Electric colours

Again this is somthing I’ve seen lots of over social media. Graphics that use bold, high energy colours and combine them to make a gradient . It’s used a lot in layout- to make large scale posters or advertisements. I think that now the world of digital design is so broad it’s become easier to create unique pieces with colours that would’ve previously not been put together
