It's Nice That

It's nice that is a design blog sharing inspiration from creatives all over the world from professionals to students. What I love about this blog is that it doesn't just focus on one thing; some categories include graphic design, photography, publication, branding, zines etc.

Design Week

Since 2011 Design Week has been a digital only publication, having previously been a magazine. its is now the UK's leading online design magazine. Design week is constantly being updated with the latest design inspiration for everything from graphic design to interiors. One particular aspect of Design week that I like is the Design Week awards. The awards focus on every area of commercial design and each area has sub categories. Individuals can enter their work under the relevant categories and winners are then picked and shared on the design week blog.

Creative Boom

Creative boom is an online magazine and blog dedicated to sharing inspiration and insight to the design community. This is smaller than other blogs and has a nice balance of famous designers and agencies and smaller independent creatives.

The process behind the rebrand is what is really fascinating. they have taken inspiration from famous films and movie posters such as 'The Grand Budapest hotel' The studio looked at typefaces from old movie posters overlapped and blended letters to create their own typeface.

Fonts In Use

This blog is purely dedicated to Typography. It focuses on a wide range of typographic ares, such as typefaces created by designers to analysing typefaces of TV shows or famous packing. It's a great source of inspiration for typography based projects.

Adobe Create

This blog is a bit different to others as it heavily focuses on 'how to' sections showing people how to create different things in Adobe software. This is a great blog to learn skills and get downloads for various projects. There are also lots of guides on various topics such as freelancing, internships etc.
